Beloved Blythe Dresses

May 5th, 2007

I made 4 more Blythe dresses and have listed them on my Etsy shop.

I was actually hoping to make more of them but I got tired of sewing the same style of dresses. They are each unique with their own variation so no two dresses are alike. Maybe I will sew more later…

Martha Crafts

May 3rd, 2007

I have been reading the news online that Martha Stewart now carries her own line of craft items. Apparently the items have been getting some really good reviews. I checked out the website to see what kind of products she had and I must admit it’s all really cute. It makes it easy to craft for those who have little time for it. Now I must go check out a Michael’s to see the stuff in person. Gosh, that woman always finds a way to survive. Well done Martha!

Crafty Loot

May 2nd, 2007

This is day 3 of my mat leave. The baby isn’t here yet which gives me plenty of crafting time. Woohoo!

In the last few days, I have received many crafty items. I think I am a bit too ambitious with my projects. There are just too many things that I want to do right now!

Here are some of the items I have received…

Today's Purchases Fabric Loot & Sewing Books

  • some yarn, some needles, and a pattern because I plan to knit a baby sweater
  • a craft magazine (who happens to be called Craft) - this one has a special feature on Blythe!
  • lots of fabric from reprodepot.com (not all of the fabric is mine as this was a group order with friends)
  • a couple of sewing books from Chapters.ca (I want to learn how to make human-sized clothes)

I have also managed to sew a bag for my knitting needles, a zippered pouch (as a gift for a friend), a few dolly dresses (some are still in progress), and listed some items for sale on Etsy.

OK, I think I will stop writing now and get cracking on some more sewing!

Thanks for reading and have a crafty day ;) .

    Hello World!

    May 2nd, 2007

Well, here I am starting another blog. Actually this blog has existed for over a year but I have decided to finally put it to use.

Since I will be on my mat leave for about a year, I figured I will have time to post about my multiple hobbies. My personal xanga site is dying. I will probably still update there for personal posts, but I wanted a place to post about my interests (which I have many) such as crafting, dolls, photography, pets, food, shopping, etc. I figured that if these things interest me then it’s bound to interest somebody else that might want to read about it. And if this blog gets no traffic then it will serve as an archiving purpose for my many hobbies :) .

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you visit again! Please leave me comments if you feel inclined to (because we all love comments!).

    Bye for now.
